OPM delivers BPM training using a mixture of lectures, case study discussions, and group exercises to maximize engagement and learning outcomes. During this one-day course, training participants will be introduced to a structured framework that will assist with achieving consistent, efficient, and agile operations.
Career Exploration and Job Search Strategy workshops help employees transition to their new careers. The workshops will be dedicated to current and future career exploration and job search techniques and strategies.
Resume Writing and Interview Techniques workshops help employees create or update their individual resume or application.
One-on-One Career Coaching can also provide one-on-one career coaching to give employees the opportunity to work with an OPM coach to review areas of employment interest, current knowledge, skills, and abilities and how best to prepare a resume and prepare for an interview. Coaches will also work with employees on options for training, opportunities to explore competency development, and development of a personal timeline for career planning.
This course is designed to equip leaders to sponsor and to deliver organization design (OD) that measurably improves mission outcomes, integrating Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Business Process Management (BPM), and Change Management (CM).
This course may be delivered as a two-hour, half-day or full-day briefing.

This course is designed to equip practitioners to deliver organization design (OD) that measurably improves mission outcomes, integrating Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Business Process Management (BPM), and Change Management (CM). This course may be delivered as two-day lab-based workshop.

The Fundamentals of Reduction-in-Force training covers an overview of the core aspects involved in planning and executing an effective RIF. The course is designed to equip HR professionals with a clear understanding of federal RIF processes, key considerations, and best practices for ensuring compliance and minimizing disruption during a RIF event. The course covers:
- An overview of critical RIF rules and procedures, including pre-RIF preparation tasks such as reviewing electronic Official Personnel Files (eOPF), defining competitive area and levels, and using retention registers.
- Creating RIF notices, managing placements, and supporting outplacement activities.
- Workforce reshaping strategies available to agencies, highlighting the key considerations when creating short-term and long-term workforce plans. This includes a focus on Voluntary Early Retirement Authority (VERA) and Voluntary Separation Incentive Payments (VSIP) as tools to avoid involuntary separations as well as the process to request the use of these authorities from OPM.
